EU’s AI omnibus revises implementation dates and content-marking transition

Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 amends the EU AI Act’s implementation schedule and compliance framework. Among its changes, providers of generative-AI systems placed on the market before August 2, 2026 have until December 2, 2026 to comply with Article 50’s synthetic-content marking requirements, while certain high-risk-system requirements move to 2027 or 2028.
